Tricot fabric is a plain warp knit fabric. It is most commonly made with cotton, wool, silk, rayon, or nylon. Ours is a nylon tricot. A popular use of tricot fabric is for women's undergarments. Because the material is made with fibers that allow support and comfort, tricot is often used in the manufacture of bras and panties in particular. In warm weather, tricot undergarments are helpful, since they allow the body to breathe.
